International Journal of Multidisciplinary Thought Vol. 5 N°3 pp. 543-547
Definitely, we need to consider the age of the children and their development characteristics to determine the best way to use discipline in an ECE Classroom. After identifying the age of the group we are working with, we need to look from a global aspect the child’s environment; family, social, emotional, psychological atmosphere that he or she brings into the classroom. In the classroom, we setup the rules of proper behavior in a simple, understandable way for them to comprehend and teachers need to remain then with constant repetitions. Only that way, they will be incorporated gradually as a habit. These guidelines must be considered also through the learning process.
